Warm Water Adventures
Some of the more popular things to do when cruising to warm water destinations is snorkeling or scuba diving. If you are new to either of these sports, you really must be PADI certified to scuba dive where you can easily snorkel with only a few minutes of lessons. The other popular activity is large game fishing for species such as Marlin or Sailfish.
The saltwater fish in tropical and sub-tropical areas are amazing both in quantity and beauty. You can arrange a shore excursion to take advantage of boat excursions that will take you to some beautiful coves or reefs where fish are abundant and the experience is fantastic. You can also snorkel from the beaches or shore in many areas.
If you do want to snorkel it is highly recommended that you outfit yourselves with good quality mask, snorkel and fins. You can rent or the shore excursion vendor will provide equipment, but is often does not fit properly especially if you wear corrective lenses or have a moustache or beard. Masks have many different sizes and shapes and in order to insure your mask does not leak you really need one that will fit your face.
